It’s fair to say my first experience of the London edition of the Allergy & Free From Show was a good one!
I spent the day eating my own body weight in free samples, taking advantage of all the special offers and generally having the time of my gluten free life.
There was way too much going on to try and cram into a blog post so I’ve picked out a few of my favourite finds.
Gluten Free Wagon Wheels from Ananda Foods
Ananda Foods make a range of vegan marshmallows and treats including this gluten free wagon wheel. Having been diagnosed coeliac since I was a baby I’ve never eaten a wagon wheel in my life before so I was pretty excited to see these! I had to buy one to take home and I’m pleased to report it did not let me down. Super tasty!
Promise Gluten Free
Promise Gluten Free have recently launched in Sainsbury’s in the UK having already proved a hit in their native Ireland. They were at the show with their range of breads and I took one for the team and sampled all of them. I can honestly say they were all delicious! Their brioche loaf was proving particularly popular but I grabbed a chia loaf and some chocolate chip brioche buns to satisfy my sweet tooth!
I’ve been wanting to try some of Beyond Bread‘s dreamy looking pastries for a while so their stall was my first port of call at the show. This cinnamon roll definitely lived up to the hype! Hands down the best pastry I’ve ever eaten. Everything looked so delicious though that I’m going to have to make a special visit to one of their bakeries next time I’m in London.
Free From Italy
Free From Italy are Allergy Show veterans and it’s always worth popping by their stall to get stocked up on their range of authentic Italian products. They had samples of their excellent pesto which you might have seen on the shop shelves and I picked up a packet of gnocchi which I can’t wait to try!
Grissini by Celita
I absolutely love grissini and can often be found munching away on a packet of Schar’s offering. I’d never heard of the brand Celita but was very pleased to find their original and tomato and rosemary grissini. The latter are absolutely delicious and I’m wishing I’d picked up more than one packed to bring home!
